Caterina Micalizio is a new and compelling name on the Danish music scene. Musically, she moves within a modern pop and R&B universe, combining Danish-language lyrics with influences drawn from her Sicilian and Korean heritage.
Born in Sicily, Caterina moved to Denmark at the age of three. Her father is Sicilian, while her mother is a Korean foundling. These roots are reflected in her music through linguistic references, traditional rhythms, and melodic elements that are woven into a contemporary pop and urban soundscape. The result is a distinctive and personal expression where temperament, melancholy, and attitude coexist.
Although Caterina is a relatively new artist, she has already made an impression as a live performer through appearances at Jelling Music Festival and Spot Festival, as well as supporting the danish artist Pauline. In addition, she has been part of the music community SheCanPlay.
Caterina is currently writing new material and further developing her sound, with the ambition of establishing a distinctive and long-lasting career as an artist.
